Happy Humpday!
Do you know about LiveUp? It’s our private community platform where we bring together Uplifters to inspire and support each other through coaching, mentoring, and a program designed specifically to help Uplifters rise higher together, by taking care of ourselves as well as we care for everyone else. This month, we’re focused on facing our fears. Some fears save us and some stop us. Since fear of failure came up as a key mindset block in our recent survey here, I wanted to share my top 5 tips on how to face that all-too-common fear.
Look it in the eye with curiosity: What specifically triggers your fear? How does it influence your thoughts and behaviors?
Shift your mindset from win/lose to win/learn: Instead of viewing failure as a negative outcome, try reframing it as a learning experience. Understand that setbacks and mistakes are inevitable parts of any journey toward success.
Set process goals: Set clear, small, achievable goals for yourself. Break them down into smaller, manageable steps. This lets you win more often.
Visualize success: Visualize yourself overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals. Imagine the feeling of success and the positive outcomes that come with it. Visualization can help boost your confidence and reduce the fear associated with failure.
Be nice: You wouldn’t berate people you like for making a mistake. Extending that kindness to ourselves can change everything.
If you’re ready to find more freedom and face your fears, join Coach Beth Raynor Webb and me on July 19 at 6PM for our next Uplifter Workshop by becoming a sponsor of The Uplifters Podcast. ⬇️

This life-changing experience turned her into a full-time caregiver and childhood cancer awareness advocate. She and Ryan and their tight-knit family have found so much beauty and purpose in their journey, and remind us that we can find purpose is our challenges too.

I just finished reading the Pulitzer Prize-winning Demon Copperheard by Barbara Kingsolver. It’s not quick, but it was definitely a major boost to my perception and I really can’t recommend it highly enough.
Check out this article by Lisa, which I found incredibly helpful in understanding what it’s like to be a homeless family.
