Happy Humpday!

I was talking to my friend Jaclyn about how it feels like The Uplifters Podcast just gets bigger and better week after week, and she reminded me of the red paperclip story. In just a few upgrade trades, Kyle MacDonald exchanged a meager office supply for an entire home. By sharing his story and his goal with anyone who would listen, he created a powerful network of support that made his project bigger and better than he could’ve dreamed. You, dear Uplifters, are that support for me and The Uplifters Podcast. Thank you. So, here’s a question for you, today:

What might be possible if you went ahead and did that thing you’ve been thinking about doing for so long?

Next up on The Uplifters Podcast

This Friday, you’ll meet Sonya Weisshappel, an organizer known as The Chaos Whisperer. We talk about how we often abandon our dreams and goals because we haven’t built plans or processes for sustaining them. Whether your goal is to play pickleball, learn to speak French, organize that pile of photos, or start a new business, you’ll want to listen in on this conversation.

In the meantime, I wanted to give you an update on a messy dream I had to clear a major clutter hub in my life late last year. It is now a cozy, calm space where we gather and dream about what’s next for our family, unencumbered by all of the accumulated gunk of our past. You can read more about it in the short piece below.

Before and After

Quick Boosts

  • I’m such a sucker for wholesome goodness. If you need a boost of joy check out this post from the always wonderful

    Gabrielle Blair
about her daughter’s reactions to receiving some very special gifts. I cried as I watched it and then cried again telling my kids about it.

  • If you’re getting all up in your thoughts, one of the best antidotes is play, so check out my talented friend Amanda’s work for some super simple crafts that anyone can do in a jiffy.

  • Or, zone out for a few minutes and let your imagination run wild as you consider what’s happening with this lost pet boar in Brooklyn.
