Hello, you bold, brave, authentic, Uplifters!
This week, I’m celebrating the courage it takes to trust our routines enough to bend them.
I sent my Monday newsletter on Tuesday. I condensed my workdays down to 4 hours (to spend 4 hours each day working alongside my family as we put our new home together). I skipped some runs and power-lifted furniture instead.
Things were different, but nothing broke. In fact, it felt pretty great.
I'm sometimes scared to break my carefully built routines for fear that they'll crumble, but that's the very reason we create routines in the first place - so that we can consciously break them when we need something different.
What might be possible if we let those well-built structures wobble a bit this week? I’m gonna try to keep remembering that flexibility is a strength, not a weakness.
Uplifters Raising Courage Capital
This week,
, Uplifters Ambassador and author of , published her opinion piece in The Washington Post.It takes so much courage to put ourselves and our work out there, approach publishers with our stories, and endure the editing and revision process, but, Lia did all of this because she knows how much stories matter in shaping public opinion and policy. A great big why could surely help us all find more courage.
Lia's courage extends beyond her writing. She's also running the NYC marathon to raise funds for reproductive rights. This dual approach - using both her voice and her actions to create change - is truly inspiring.
Let's uplift Lia and the importance of reproductive rights! Consider ways you can support:
- Share Lia's Washington Post article within your networks
- Contribute to her marathon fundraiser to help keep IVF legal
- Reflect on your own story: What experiences are you carrying that the world needs to hear?

Every act of courage, no matter how small it might seem, has the power to create ripples of change.
What bravery did you see or practice this week? I'd really love to hear your stories. Reply to this email, share in our private Facebook group, or comment directly on this Substack post.
Until next week, stay brave!
