I used to believe my story should be linear and logical.
I should look like I had a grand plan and that I knew where I was going.
Who I am needed to make sense and fit neatly into an elevator pitch.
But, that’s kinda boring.
Now I know that it’s way more energizing, way more fun, way more powerful, and way way easier just to be me and follow the breadcrumbs that tell my story.
So, if you’re not doing the things you most want to do because you’re worried that other people won’t understand, here’s your loving permission to just go be all of it. The story will tell itself.
This is Women’s History Month, after all, so it kinda feels like the perfect time to make history by being a story that’s never been told. And yes, you amazing fellas out there who support uplifting, history-making women, this absolutely includes you.
Rising Higher, Together
This May 17 we will make a little history with our first-ever LIVE Uplifters gathering. I hope you’ll join me and 33 of our guests from the first year of The Uplifters Podcast, including Sean Wachter from last week, for a day of collaboration and creative growth in NYC on May 17.
Check out the agenda and get info on tickets HERE. It’s my birthday month 🎉, so I’m celebrating by offering 50% off of tickets for this month only using code BIRTHDAY.
Paid Subscriber Bonuses You’ll Find in This Newsletter
✨ Welcome and thanks to our newest paid subscriber Denise, whom I serendipitously met this week during a stunning sunset hike in Tucson, AZ while visiting with another Uplifter IRL, Alyse. It was a reminder that the most magical things happen when we get out of our little digital bubbles and set out into the world to explore and connect.
✨ I learn best when my hands are busy, but my ears are focused, so listening to a podcast while out for a run, cooking, or cleaning my house works great for me. You can listen to every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Substack, or wherever you get your podcasts. For those of you who are more visual, every week I send paid subscribers a video of our weekly episode so that you can see our guests’ stories. This week I share the video of the very buff, category-defying, and inspiring Sean Wachter and the championship belt he won a few days before our conversation.
✨ Each month, I thank our paid subscribers with a community workshop featuring one of our Uplifters Ambassadors. This Wednesday, I am hosting a workshop led by Coach Sam France of Episode 17 that will help us understand the intersection of sleep issues and mental fitness. You’ll learn how internal saboteurs affect sleep and learn practical, effective tools to help you rest a little easier.
