🌞 Happy Mindful Monday.

Many of us Uplifters grew up believing that no matter what happened we needed to keep a smile on our faces. Naturally, we got pretty good at it. But, sometimes all of those feelings we’re holding back start to bubble over. In our latest episode of The Uplifters Podcast, Maureen Spataro shares both the effects of this masking and the benefits of just being real with ourselves and others.

Are you annoyed, disappointed, frustrated, sad, or angry? That’s ok. Every feeling is normal. You don’t always need to share those feelings with everyone around you, but it can be really powerful to acknowledge them to yourself.

It’s like that little valve on The Instant Pot. If we don’t open it, it starts to seep out whether we like it or not. So, today, maybe this can be an invitation to be really honest with yourself, and let the steam out before it forces itself out.
