I feel like a baby goat jumping for joy
Viktor Frankl | Purpose | Baby Goats | Miss USA | and Manifestation
In our next episode of The Uplifters Podcast, launching Friday, you’ll meet Chrisie Canny, nominated by Melanie Cohen. Chrisie is a wife, mother, serial entrepreneur, and inventor, who puts the FUN in fundraising, by throwing parties and events that raise money to support those who need it most. Chrisie has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for causes she believes in by bringing Uplifters together, encouraging them to share their stories, and then helping them to support one another with love, money, hugs, smiles, or whatever they have to give - all in ways that allow everyone to receive. She’s perhaps best known for her work supporting cancer patients on their journeys. In our next episode, you’ll hear about her own breast cancer diagnosis, and how she translated fear into a deeper sense of purpose and meaning.
Until then, if you have four minutes and twenty-three seconds today, maybe you’ll want to spend them with Viktor Frankl, the Austrian psychiatrist who after spending three years in four different Nazi concentration camps and losing his pregnant wife, his parents, and his brother, wrote Man's Search for Meaning, a book for finding purpose and strength in times of great despair. In this short interview clip, he makes a case for finding meaning in service. It’s a feeling Uplifters, like Chrisie, know well.
