We give ourselves permission, and you are masterful at doing exactly that. I can't wait to read your words. Cheering you on, you brave, courageous, powerful human!
Thank you, dear one. I get to learn so much from witnessing your journey in such close proximity. Lucky, lucky me. You absolutely make me braver and bolder and better.
This is such a big, brave decision — truly, congratulations. Deciding to write a book is its own milestone.
One gentle suggestion, if it’s accessible: working with a book coach can be incredibly helpful. I often describe it like a personal trainer — you can get in shape on your own, or in group classes, but progress is usually faster and less painful when someone who understands your specific goals is by your side, helping you pace yourself and avoid common pitfalls.
Either way, cheering you on. Starting is the hardest part, and you’ve already done it!
Despite my deep belief in the power of coaching, this never crossed my mind! Thank you so much for suggesting it. Did you use a coach when writing Shame on You?
I didn't have a coach for SHAME ON YOU, quite frankly because I couldn't afford it, but I work as a coach and have walked literally hundreds of people through the process of writing and positioning their books— and I know other folks that provide this service. It's an incredible asset!
Thank you so much! I couldn’t sleep last night I was so excited about what the day ahead held. That feels like a very good sign that I’m on the right track.

This is fabulous. I’ll pick 3 colors I like and plop them down on the canvas that’s been staring at me . It’s in limbo land so that’s my decision.
I love this so much. It brings me so much joy to think of you out there slinging paint today! I can't wait to see what you create next.
This!! This is so doggone good. I’ve been wanting to write a solo book. Have so many thoughts that have gotten in my way. Thank you. Thank you.
Awww thank you!! I want to read this book!! Go Elaine GO!!

So appreciate this, since without an agent I could definitely use whatever guidance I can get my hands on
I’m so excited for you! This is a great approach. You go girl!
