Maybe It’s Time For An Energy Audit

How’s your energy today? Sparky? Blah? Totally tapped?
In the Daily Practice Survey we asked people to rank their levels of satisfaction across ten different life domains - from relationships to personal freedom. Of these, we found that the lowest level of satisfaction was with our energy levels. In fact, only about 30% of people were even moderately satisfied with their energy level.
As we kick off a new season, filled with new routines, transitions, and changes to pretty much everything (including the number of hours we get to see the sunshine), there could be no better time to consider what energizes us and what depletes us.
For this week‘s challenge, here’s an exercise you can jam out in 5 minutes or less to reclaim your ⚡️.
Energy Audit Technique
1️⃣Make a list of five things that lift your energy, whether they are habits, relationships, or even thinking styles.
2️⃣Make a list of five things that deplete your energy.
3️⃣Then, take a moment to ask yourself what this says to you about how you spend your days. How might you spend more time getting lifted instead of dragged around?
4️⃣Set a goal for actively experimenting with your energy this month and see what you can learn about what works for you and what doesn’t.
