I need to outsource some of my pickup and drop off (children) driving to allow for more solid time blocks every once in a while. My workaholic exec husband has this on his calendar every week labeled as “thinking time.”
I relate to this so much! I am so fortunate that my mom lives nearby now and is helping a ton with kid shuttling, but she was out of town for the last two weeks, and driving the girls around took over my entire life. I love your idea of giving creative work its own nonnegotiable spot on the calendar. It’s the only way anything in my life ever gets done.
