It was a chance for us to let our inner flames burn bright, shake off our responsibilities (just for a day!), and embrace our awkward, brave selves together. Because TBH, it can get exhausting to be always on. Being around all those amazing women and hearing about all of the amazing breakthroughs and new friendships forged has me riding so high right now.
Over the past year on The Uplifters Podcast and in my coaching programs, I've had the honor of connecting with over 100 remarkable humans (99 fabulous women and 1 superstar dude) who pour their hearts into uplifting others. And you know what? Just like you and me, they've faced gnarly obstacles that could have doused their fires. But instead, they used those challenges as fuel to discover a deeper purpose and leave this world a little better than they found it. Â
But being an Uplifter 24/7 can leave you feeling like a burned-out campfire if you don't learn to tend your inner flames.Â
I'm on a mission to help Uplifters keep their inner fires smoking hot instead of feeling burned out. So, over the next 10 weeks, I'm going to share 10 key ways Uplifters can manage chronic stress, avoid burnout, and feel hotter than ever. My goal is to focus on one key area every week. Every Monday (starting June 3), I'll introduce the focus here in our Mindful Monday Newsletter, then drop more daily on Instagram and Facebook. I’ll share tips, stories, and most of all, simple daily practices that can help you fan your inner fire anytime and anywhere. In our private virtual community for Uplifters over at LiveUp Daily, we’ll support each other as we fan our fires.
I shared some of these ideas with amazing (and overworked and overstretched) leaders in Healthcare this week. It was so awesome to watch them identify simple ways they could turn off their work brains and reenergize themselves for their own creative pursuits, their families, and, yes, even for work itself.
